I love Boozy Udders ice cream! I stock up on it and consume it in great secrecy. Totally delicious! I treat my friends and family to your ice cream also and they all love it too!

In the beginning…

there was a (lush of a) wife and mother (we’ll call her Sarah) who loved cooking and eating nice things; especially puddings.

And then there was her love of cocktails; especially well made, really quite strong cocktails. It made perfect sense to her to attempt to enjoy them both at the same time.

And thus a star was born…
Boozy Udders Deliciously Decadent Alcoholic Cocktail Ice Cream!

“It’s great fun to watch mouths form an ‘O’, followed swiftly by wide grins as people enjoy their first taste of Boozy Udders - it packs quite a punch! When they come back for more - and they always do - we feel our work is done!”

Our Ingredients

The spirits and liqueurs that go into our products are carefully sourced for each new recipe – our Whisky Mac Daddy contains only single malt, not blended; we find it yields a smoother, more haunting impression that hovers winsomely on the palate!

Our liqueurs are never the cheaper option, but always chosen for their complexity and rich, deep flavours.

Seasonality is important to us. As well as our flagship flavours, (
Margarita, Jamaican Rum Punch, Pina Colada, Chocolate Brandy Alexander and Passion Fruit Martini) we introduce one or two limited edition flavours each season and to mark annual calendar events. Strawberry Daiquiri will both have you swooning during the warmer summer months.

And as Autumn arrives and our hedgerows are laden with our much loved British blackberry, we welcome in one of our most British of the Boozy Udders range –
‘The Bramble’. It’s sheer London gin and blackberry heaven!

Wherever possible we source our fresh fruits, purees and cream from local suppliers and distributors, and have recently been exploring some rather interesting local gin and vodka producers too - an exciting, (and deliciously rewarding) discovery!

Just one more thing - this is not cocktail flavoured ice cream – this is an alcoholic cocktail in ice cream form, which means it has a relatively high level of alcohol in each serving and is not suitable for under 18s.

What We Value

  • Our juices and purees are either hand juiced or pressed, (depending on the ice cream flavour – you don’t get many passion fruit groves ‘round these ‘ere parts!)
  • We aim to bring you an experience like no other – blending the joys of a well made cocktail with some of the most honest ice cream available. ‘The Udders’ is always (lovingly) hand blended in small batches, the traditional way.
  • Our mission is to create a fun yet sophisticated grown up ice cream treat (with a kick) that works for almost any occasion (with just one or two notable exceptions – we haven’t had much feedback from Christenings!)
  • Whatever your occasion, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Sarah Ward

Originally an actress and jazz singer by trade, Sarah’s degree in Theatre and Dramatic Art rapidly led her into a professional acting career. Gradually however her long time interest in and love of wine (both studying and imbibing!) came to the fore, and she embarked on a new direction in wine and spirits, specializing in Champagne and Whisky. Whilst working for a premium spirits company she was also trained in cocktail ‘mixology’ which quickly awoke her own spirit to the merits of a well made cocktail… (sans umbrella!)

Sarah currently lives in Kent juggling a busy family life while developing Boozy Udders to it’s full potential. She says “I am ridiculously and unashamedly excited by all things to do with food and drink!

Creating and setting up Boozy Udders has been both a great challenge and something that we’ve had enormous fun with. I wouldn’t exactly describe our family life as peaceful, but there’s a lot of laughter and some how we all muddle through! But once the idea for The Udders had tickled my imagination and my taste buds (well, you’ve got to taste every batch for quality control!) there was no going back.”

Russell Ward

Originally a professional actress by trade, a bluesy jazz singer by night; she was later tempted into the world of knowledge of wines and spirits, specializing in Champagnes and Whisky. Also professionally trained in cocktail ‘mixology’ and excited by all things to do with food and drink!

Sarah’s degree in Theatre and Dramatic Art, (her first great passion in life) led her rapidly into a successful comedy and classical acting and later a move towards music and making records. However, her long time interest in wine gradually came to the fore, whereby she embarked on a new career direction into Wine, Champagne and Whisky! (I think there’s a song in there somewhere…) A further two year role in the world of ‘spirits’ awoke her own spirit to the merits of famously classic cocktails, (sans umbrella)!

She says “Its not always total piece and harmony in our house, but there’s a lot of laughter and some how we all muddle through. It’s a great challenge and one that I adore, but once the idea for The Udders had tickled my imagination and my taste buds (well, you’ve got to taste every batch for quality control!) there was no going back.” The Udders sont arrivés!
